Worth All The Crumbs

GraceAnna Castleberry pierced right to the heart of this mama with this article. Pure salve for a weary mom’s heart. Worth all the reading.

Free Summer Reading Printables for You and the Kids

I love summer reading. And with it, I love all the fun and free summer reading printables I’ve found on Pinterest. These coloring printables kinda’ make summer reading a bit more enticing for the kiddos too!

  • This link  has bookmarks to color for the kids’ summer reading books.
  • This link and this link have Summer reading logs for kids.
  • This link is a reading challenge for kids. It’s so cute! It has some easy ones too, like recipe cards, menus, and “whisper reading.”
  • And finally, this link is a pretty one for you, but I won’t tell if you print the kid ones off for yourself.
For Our Daughters… But for Us Too

Ashamed of my Body: Six Truths for Struggling Teens “We live a precious, precarious time in our childhood when we lack shame for our bodies. We view them as our machines, tools for communication and self-expression, the catalyst for our play, perfectly acceptable to us in their functionality. We are self-aware, but not self-conscious.

Then we get older and something happens (or maybe much happens), and cultural messages start to seep into our minds and pollute our perceptions. And one day we realize that beauty is more important than function, and our body is not beautiful.”

On Being a Godly Woman

GotQuestions.org is one of my favorite go-to sites for solid biblical answers. And the answer to this question, What Does it Mean to be A Woman of God, is just as expected, loaded with relevant Scripture. “A woman of God’s beauty is of her “inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight” (1 Peter 3:3–4). Ultimately, the woman of God is a work in progress, a masterpiece of God’s, saved by His grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8–10), and becoming more like Jesus as she seeks to know Him and obey Him.”
