Blogging Through Biblical Doctrine
Have you wanted to read a theology book, but haven’t known where to begin? In this series, Jess is blogging through John MacArthur and Richard Mayhue’s book, Biblical Doctrine. Print the study guides at the bottom of each post (or on the Resources page) and follow along!  Also, be sure to join the associated women’s Facebook page to discuss the study with other Christian women.  Finally, if you want to go back and start at the beginning you may find the Introduction article here.

This section on the Holy Spirit is fascinating and wonderful. It is also exceptionally important. In John MacArthur’s sermon, “Misconceptions of the Holy Spirit,” he states, “There is no more maligned, no more misunderstood, no more misrepresented, no more insulted, no more dishonored, and no more blasphemed member of the Trinity in our contemporary church culture than the Holy Spirit, and we sort of give a free pass to people. But we need to rethink that, because the Holy Spirit is God.”

Listen to a couple of MacArthur’s sermons on the topic here: The Essential Ministry of the Holy Spirtit, Part 1 and Misconceptions of the Holy Spirit.

Here is your study guide for this week Pneumatology 5.

I’ll see you next week for our discussion on the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
