Blogging Through Biblical DoctrineHave you wanted to read a theology book, but haven’t known where to begin? In this series, Jess is blogging through John MacArthur and Richard Mayhue’s book, Biblical Doctrine. Print the study guides at the bottom of each post (or on the Resources page) and follow along! Also, be sure to join the associated women’s Facebook page to discuss the study with other Christian women. Finally, if you want to go back and start at the beginning you may find the Introduction article here.
Many people believe Jesus was a real person. What they struggle with is the acknowledgement of His deity. They can believe such a man existed, but they cannot comprehend a resurrection. And an ascension? Forget it.
In this section you will read verse after verse, from the Old Testament and New, that reference and confirm the resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ our Lord.
I encourage you to dig into your Bibles here. It’s easy to keep your Bible shut beside you, and just read the textbook, skimming over verse references. I encourage you to read directly from your Bible. It will improve your apologetic. Not only that, we must remember that the Word of God is the Sword of the Spirit (the only offensive weapon), and the very breath of God.
Here is your study guide for this week Christology9.
I’ll see you next week for the last section in this chapter, Christ Glorified.
