Blogging Through Biblical DoctrineHave you wanted to read a theology book, but haven’t known where to begin? In this series, Jess is blogging through John MacArthur and Richard Mayhue’s book, Biblical Doctrine. Print the study guides at the bottom of each post (or on the Resources page) and follow along! Also, be sure to join the associated women’s Facebook page to discuss the study with other Christian women. Finally, if you want to go back and start at the beginning you may find the Introduction article here.
This week concludes our discussion on the perfections of God with a survey of His communicable perfections, the attributes He shares with us. In other words, these are the ways He has made us like Him, in His image.
As we read this section it should cause us to reflect on how God desires for us to be like Him, to imitate Him for His glory and our good. This reading should encourage us to walk in His ways, and strengthen our communion with our Father.
As I mentioned some books for “down the road” last week, I would like to mention that Jen Wilkin’s next book In His Image is estimated to release May 31, 2018. While None Like Him taught us about God’s incommunicable attributes, In His Image will teach us about His communicable attributes. So keep your eyes peeled for that one!
Here is your study guide for this week Theology Proper 5.
I’ll see you next week for our discussion on the Trinity.
