Blogging Through Biblical DoctrineHave you wanted to read a theology book, but haven’t known where to begin? In this series, Jess is blogging through John MacArthur and Richard Mayhue’s book, Biblical Doctrine. Print the study guides at the bottom of each post (or on the Resources page) and follow along! Also, be sure to join the associated women’s Facebook page to discuss the study with other Christian women. Finally, if you want to go back and start at the beginning you may find the Introduction article here.
You may have heard the term attributes before. It is interchangeable with the term perfections. This week is interesting and so very rich because we don’t just jump right into naming and defining His attributes. We first look at faulty and accurate (authoritative) methods of identifying them , and then there’s a fascinating section on how these perfections relate to God’s essence.
I don’t have any resources for you this week, but next week (once we’ve classified His attributes) I’ll have some additional resources posted to help solidify these truths for you.
Here is your study guide for this week Theology Proper 3.
I’ll see you next week for our discussion on the incommunicable attributes of God.
